This is a village in the municipality of La Frontera, considered the westernmost point in Spain.
Sabinosa, on a volcanic slope, has always been the most isolated of the villages on the island, in the extreme West of El Golfo. Its inhabitants, known as ‘gabeteros’, were mainly shepherds since Sabinosa is the village closest to La Dehesa. This village is famous for its tradition in folklore.
Sabinosa is also famous for its highly intoxicating wine, well-loved by locals and visitors alike.
